National Stay Smart Online Week was launched by the Minister for Communications, Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield at Parliament House today.

Launch Stay Smart Online Week 2015

Stay Smart Online Week raises awareness about online security among small businesses, community organisations, families and individuals.

This year the theme is 'Your business is YOUR business' which covers small businesses and individuals’ online information security.

Minister Fifield also released the Stay Smart Online Small Business Guide, designed to provide advice to small businesses on how to secure their online information.

Ruby-Jane and Alexander receive there trend Micro 'What’s Your Story' prize from Children’s eSafety Commissioner Alastair MacGibbon

Children’s eSafety Commissioner Alastair MacGibbon also presented awards to the winners of the Trend Micro 'What’s Your Story' poster competition at the launch.

First prize went to Ruby-Jane Roberts for her poster titled ‘Only chat with Friends online’. First runner up was Alexander Bogeff with his poster 'Beware of what you share and click with care'.  The Third runner up was Miss Dana Bonleon with her poster 'Do you really know who you are posting to?'.

Stay Smart Online Week runs from 12 to 16 October; and is supported by a network of over 1,700 partners.
